FAQ

Microsoft Windows:

What is the difference between the "Personal version" and the "Education version"?

Simple if you belong to the French Education Nationale, as a teacher or student, you should take the "Education version", otherwise please use the "Personal version"

What is the difference between the "Installer" version and the ZIP version?

The "Installer" version automatically copies AOZ Studio to your PC and creates the shortcuts on your desktop to access the tool. It may require to have "Administrator" rights.

The ZIP version is the same version of AOZ Studio in a ZIP file. It allows you to copy it manually in any PC folder, USB stick... It does not require any "Administrator" permission. The ZIP version is recommended for teachers and students who would like to install AOZ Studio on their secure computer.
The ZIP version is recommended for teachers and students who would like to install AOZ Studio on their secure computer.

Mac OS

Will AOZ Studio be able to run on the new M1/M2 models?

Yes, AOZ Studio was built to run on most Apple computers (x86). With the newer Mac models using an ARM architecture you need Apple >Rosetta, you probably have it already. See more information at Rosetta.

Attention when installing, select the option (change install location) and it should be selected here->, (for me only), leave as is and continue with install to the end.
This way it puts it or the aoz installation under your username profile->applications and after install it will end up (an aoz icon) on your launch bar bottom as usual rdy to run.

Linux

Which Linux distributions are supported by AOZ Studio?

AOZ Studio has been tested on Debian and Ubuntu distributions. The latest stable releases of these two distributions have been tested.

Other distributions can potentially be supported (not tested), like openSUSE, Fedora or Linux Mint.

NOTES

AOZ Studio has been installed, but it does not seem to launch.

AOZ Studio editor needs to write data in the folder where it is located (configuration files, user profile,…). Check that you have Read/Write rights in this folder. If not, it is recommended to install AOZ Studio in a folder to which you have full access.

For Mac OS Users: If the program was installed in the global "Applications" folder, it is recommended to move it to the "Applications" folder of your user folder.
